Intermediate Construction Coordinator / Supervisor

About the role

We are looking for an Intermediate Construction Coordinator / Supervisor to join our team in Yellowknife, NT. The role supports mine‑closure and environmental remediation projects in remote northern locations, working on a 2‑weeks on / 2‑weeks off rotation. You will combine technical construction knowledge with on‑site leadership to ensure safe, efficient and high‑quality delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate daily construction and field activities for mine‑closure and remediation works.
• Ensure all work complies with safety, environmental, regulatory and project requirements.
• Collaborate with engineers, environmental scientists, contractors and clients to align project goals.
• Monitor schedules, productivity and budgets, identifying and mitigating risks or delays.
• Conduct site inspections, audits and quality‑control checks to uphold standards.
• Support implementation of health, safety and environmental plans in extreme, remote conditions.
• Prepare and maintain project documentation, reports and field records using MS Office tools.
• Facilitate clear communication across field teams and stakeholders.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years experience in construction coordination, supervision or related roles, preferably in environmental or mine‑closure projects.
• Strong technical understanding of construction processes, civil works and environmental remediation.
• Proven ability to work safely in remote locations and extreme outdoor climates.
• Experience with rotational schedules (e.g., 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off).
• Excellent organizational skills and a commitment to safety leadership.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook and reporting tools).
