Interior Design Technical Director – Lead Revit & QA/QC

About the role

B+H Architects is looking for an experienced Interior Design Technical Director to head the technical team of our Toronto studio. You will drive the creation of high‑quality Revit models, oversee comprehensive project documentation, and ensure rigorous QA/QC across interior design projects of varying scale.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the development, maintenance and coordination of Revit models for all interior design projects, establishing standards and efficient workflows.
• Oversee the full documentation process, ensuring consistency, clarity and compliance with client expectations and regulatory requirements.
• Own QA/QC for all construction drawings, specifications, material schedules and related technical outputs.
• Review and guide the production of construction documents to align with design intent and industry benchmarks.
• Collaborate with designers, architects, consultants and contractors to integrate technical solutions and resolve clashes.
• Provide mentorship to interior designers and production staff on Revit and documentation best practices.
• Conduct site visits during construction to verify that implementation matches the approved documentation.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of local building codes, standards and regulations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture or a related discipline.
• 10+ years of interior design experience with a strong technical and leadership focus.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multidisciplinary teams and lead QA/QC processes.
