Intelligence Support Clerk – Word/Data Processing

About the role
The Edmonton Police Service is seeking a temporary Intelligence Support Clerk to provide high‑quality word and data processing services for the Organized Crime Section and the Branch Intelligence Hub/Domestic Offenders unit. This full‑time position supports day‑to‑day intelligence activities and contributes to the timely delivery of critical information.
Key responsibilities
- Query, collect, collate, interpret, draft and distribute target sheets, bulletins, briefing notes and workload reports.
- Data‑mine for entities of interest, possible targets and persons of interest.
- Analyse criminal events and trends to recommend appropriate responses.
- Respond to internal and external information requests within set timelines.
- Review police occurrence reports, Street Check Reports and other intelligence documents.
- Conduct open‑source research and create online posts to support investigations.
- Maintain spreadsheets, logs and dashboards for the branch/section.
- Perform other related duties as required.
Required profile
- High school graduation with business subjects or a relevant certificate.
- Minimum two (2) years of diversified office experience, including extensive data entry.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of a police environment is an asset.

What we offer
- Competitive hourly wage ranging from $25.17 to $31.25 CAD.
- Full‑time schedule (40 hours/week, 08:00‑16:00, Monday‑Friday).
