Insulator – Construction

About the role

We are looking for an Insulator to join our construction team in Calgary. The role involves selecting, measuring, cutting and installing a variety of insulation materials for residential and commercial projects.

Key responsibilities

• Select the appropriate type of insulation for each job.
• Measure and cut insulation materials to required shapes using hand and power tools.
• Apply and secure insulation by spraying, blowing, pasting, strapping or taping.
• Fit insulation around obstructions and between joists and studs.
• Install vapour barriers and fire‑retardant materials.
• Fabricate and apply removable insulation pads and covers.
• Estimate material quantities and costs.
• Assemble, erect and dismantle scaffolding, rigging and hoisting equipment.

Required profile

• Secondary school graduation certificate.
• Physically demanding work; ability to stand for extended periods.
• Willingness to relocate (relocation costs covered).
• Experience with insulation installation is an asset.
• Available to work evenings, mornings, days and weekends.

Required skills

• Proficiency with hand tools.
• Proficiency with power tools.
• Scaffolding assembly and rigging.
