Innovation for Impact Outreach and Events Assistant

About the role

This part‑time position supports the planning and delivery of the Innovation for Impact Competition in March 2027. Working closely with the Program Manager, the assistant will help promote the competition, engage student organisations, and provide logistical support for the event.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and expand a database of student clubs and associations, especially within the Desautels Faculty of Management, to target competition promotion.
• Create digital and print promotional materials and graphics for LinkedIn, the SGI website, and other channels.
• Assist with recruitment outreach through information tables, classroom visits, and other student‑engagement activities in October‑November 2026.
• Design winner‑recognition assets such as posters and graphics for publication.
• Provide on‑site logistical support during the competition on 19 March 2027 at the Dobson Centre for Entrepreneurship.
• Perform additional event‑related and administrative tasks as needed.

Required profile

• Registered McGill undergraduate or graduate student in good academic standing.
• Experience creating professional promotional materials and graphics for social media, websites, or other marketing channels.
• Background in event planning, coordination, and logistics with strong organisational skills.
• Familiarity with student engagement and collaboration with campus clubs and associations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Interest in sustainability, innovation, entrepreneurship or student‑leadership programming.
