About the role

IBM Consulting’s X‑Force Incident Response team is seeking Associate consultants to join a fast‑paced, global cyber‑security practice starting September 2026. The role will be based in one of the major Canadian cities (Calgary, Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal or Vancouver) and will support Fortune 1000 clients in managing and mitigating security incidents.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with clients to deliver incident response, threat hunting and forensic investigations.
• Help minimise revenue loss by applying IBM’s global expertise and local delivery network.
• Contribute to cyber‑crisis management and incident response planning across a worldwide delivery model.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to analyse malware, memory dumps and cloud‑based infrastructures.

Required profile

• Graduated from a post‑secondary STEM program by the start date (MBA and PhD candidates are not eligible).
• Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance from the Government of Canada.
• Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills, with a growth‑mindset and initiative to acquire new knowledge.
• Excellent critical‑thinking and problem‑solving abilities.
