In-Person English Trainer for Young Child

About the role
Executive Language Training (ELT) is looking for a qualified English language trainer to deliver an in‑person program for a 5‑year‑old native Turkish speaker. The role involves two one‑hour sessions per week at the family’s home in Pointe‑Claire, focusing on oral communication and confidence building.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and conduct 60‑minute English lessons twice a week, aligned with the child’s age and proficiency.
- Emphasize speaking, listening, and everyday conversational skills.
- Create a supportive, engaging learning environment that encourages interaction with teachers and peers.
- Monitor progress and adapt materials to meet the learner’s evolving needs.
Required profile
- Minimum bachelor’s degree in English, TESOL, linguistics, or a related field.
- Proven experience teaching English to non‑native speakers, preferably young learners.
- Strong knowledge of language acquisition theories and effective pedagogical methods.
