Import/Export Operations Coordinator

About the role

A multilingual, multicultural transportation organization specializing in international freight forwarding and logistics is hiring an Import/Export Operations Coordinator in its Montreal office. The position is full-time, Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end import and export shipments by air and/or ocean freight.
• Prepare, review and process all required documentation such as AWBs, bills of lading, commercial invoices and customs filings.
• Coordinate with carriers, customs brokers, warehouses and internal teams to keep shipments on time and compliant.
• Track and trace shipments, give timely updates and resolve operational issues.

Required profile

• At least 2 to 5 years of proven experience in freight forwarding or a similar import/export operations role.
• In-depth knowledge of international trade, customs regulations and logistics processes.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Required skills

• Experience with CargoWise ERP is an asset.
