About the role
Gerdau is seeking a Human Resources Coordinator to support its Cambridge Mill operations. The role focuses on administering HR policies, fostering employee relations, and coordinating core HR programs such as recruitment, onboarding, payroll, and benefits.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee employee engagement initiatives and coordinate recruitment strategies.
- Organize new‑hire onboarding and training sessions.
- Support weekly payroll processing and maintain accurate employee data in the HRIS.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding personnel changes, payroll, benefits, and pension.
- Assist with administration of benefit and pension programs.
- Provide advice on collective bargaining agreement provisions.
- Perform additional duties as required.
Required profile
- Post‑secondary education with a focus on Human Resources (preferred).
- CHRP designation is an asset.
- Minimum two years of HR experience.
- Experience in a manufacturing or unionized environment is preferred.
- Strong organizational, time‑management, and interpersonal abilities.
- Willingness to travel between locations if needed.
