Human Resources Business Partner

About the role
The Human Resources Business Partner will play a strategic and operational role in delivering HR outcomes that support Baycrest’s People Strategy. Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, the position works across research, education, innovation, foundation, residential terraces and corporate portfolios, collaborating with managers, union leaders and senior leaders in hospital and long‑term care settings.
Key responsibilities
- Develop proactive HR strategies with management to improve retention, employee engagement and workforce planning.
- Leverage human‑capital metrics to inform short‑ and long‑term decision‑making and strategic planning.
- Build strong business relationships with hospital leadership and create effective HR partnerships across the organization.
- Act as a trusted advisor on HR policies, legislation and best practices, providing coaching and guidance to leaders.
- Lead labour‑relation initiatives, fostering productive employee relations and engagement.
- Participate in the development and maintenance of HR policies, programs and procedures aligned with corporate values and regulatory compliance.
Required profile
- Experience influencing both strategic and operational HR initiatives.
- Ability to work collaboratively with managers, union representatives and senior leaders.
- Strong understanding of labour relations, employee engagement and workforce planning.
- Excellent communication and advisory skills to interpret legislation and company policies.
