About the role
The Security Guard Group is looking for a detail‑oriented HR Generalist to support its growing security workforce. In this role you will manage the full employee lifecycle, from recruitment and onboarding through employee relations, compliance, and ongoing HR administration.
Key responsibilities
- Assist with recruitment activities, including candidate screening, interview coordination, and preparation of employment documents.
- Maintain accurate employee files, licensing records, training documentation, and other compliance‑related records.
- Support employee relations by responding to inquiries, documenting concerns, and escalating issues when necessary.
- Help managers with attendance tracking, performance documentation, corrective actions, and policy enforcement.
- Participate in workplace investigations, incident documentation, and follow‑up actions as directed.
- Coordinate training, certifications, uniform documentation, and other role‑specific requirements.
- Prepare HR letters, memos, reports, and internal communications.
- Provide accurate employee status updates to payroll and scheduling teams.
- Contribute to employee engagement, retention initiatives, recognition programs, and continuous HR process improvements.
Required profile
- Post‑secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Strong communication skills, sound judgment, and the ability to handle confidential information.
- Excellent attention to detail and the capacity to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
Required skills
- Knowledge of employment standards legislation and occupational health and safety requirements.
- Familiarity with security licensing and training compliance.
