Support the team. Keep things moving. Help create a great guest experience. Black Rock Oceanfront Resort is looking for a Houseperson to join our hardworking and friendly team in Ucluelet, BC. This physically active role touches all corners of the resort, from sparkling public spaces to laundry support, supply runs, and guest requests.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of resort common areas including lobbies, washrooms, hallways, staff spaces, and public areas.
• Assist Room Attendants by stripping rooms, delivering linens, restocking supplies, and supporting room turns.
• Support Guest Services with guest deliveries and errands around the resort.
• Report maintenance issues promptly and appropriately.
• Follow safety guidelines when using cleaning products and equipment.
• Handle and catalogue lost and found items.
• Uphold resort hygiene, safety, and sustainability standards.

Required profile

• Enjoy staying active and working with hands throughout the day.
• Take pride in maintaining clean, organized, and well‑stocked spaces.
• Work well as part of a team and take initiative independently.
• Communicate clearly and respectfully across departments.
• Comfortable lifting, pushing, or pulling up to 50 lb and performing physical tasks such as bending, kneeling, climbing ladders, and standing for long periods.
• Flexible availability including weekends and holidays, with good English language skills.
