About the role
Cariboo Memorial Hospital is seeking a Hospitalist to join its acute inpatient medicine team in Williams Lake. The position offers a supportive environment with strong teamwork, quality‑improvement focus, and the chance to work in a welcoming rural community.
Key responsibilities
- Serve as the most responsible physician (MRP) for complex medical inpatients.
- Co‑manage surgical patients and provide palliative care.
- Manage a typical caseload of 12‑16 inpatients per 8‑hour shift.
- Collaborate closely with CMH specialists and family physicians.
- Participate in quality‑improvement initiatives and interdisciplinary rounds.
Required profile
- Medical degree with eligibility for hospitalist practice in British Columbia.
- New graduates or experienced hospitalists are welcome.
- Interest in practicing in a rural setting and contributing to community health.
- Flexibility for full‑time, part‑time, or locum arrangements.

- Annual base remuneration of $336,168 CAD (approximately $200.10 CAD/hour).
- Potential additional earnings up to 40 % through group contract incentives.
