Hospitalist – Full‑time, Part‑time or Locum

About the role

Delta Hospital is expanding its Hospitalist program and seeks qualified physicians for permanent full‑time, part‑time, or locum positions. You will serve as the Most Responsible Physician (MRP) for acute medical admissions, delivering high‑quality inpatient care within a collaborative inter‑professional team.

Key responsibilities

• Admit and manage acute medical patients as the MRP.
• Provide 24‑hour coverage through scheduled daytime, evening, and rotating overnight call shifts.
• Participate in virtual overnight call from home, with up to 20% of patient care delivered remotely.
• Collaborate with medical, nursing, and allied health staff to ensure coordinated patient care.

Required profile

• Licensed (or eligible) with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia.
• CCFP credential (or equivalent) required.
• ACLS certification preferred.
• Strong interest in acute‑care hospital medicine and a commitment to the evolving specialty.
• Excellent clinical judgment, communication skills, and bedside manner.
