Home Child Care Provider (Live‑in optional)

About the role

This position provides full‑time, in‑home child care for a family in North York. You will be responsible for the children’s safety, daily routines, and household support while the parents are away. The role may include optional live‑in accommodation, though this is not a condition of employment.

Key responsibilities

• Assume full responsibility for the household in the parents’ absence, including light housekeeping and cleaning.
• Wash, iron, and press clothing and household linens.
• Discipline children according to the parents’ preferred methods.
• Maintain daily activity and health records for each child.
• Organize games, outings, and other age‑appropriate activities.
• Prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks.
• Prepare infants and children for rest periods and supervise nap times.
• Transport children to and from school, appointments, and extracurricular activities.

Required profile

• Reliable, patient, and honest with a strong client‑focus.
• Excellent oral communication and organizational abilities.
• Ability to pass a criminal record check and medical exam.

Required skills

• Current CPR Certification.
• Current First Aid Certification.
