High School Math & Science Tutor – In‑Person & In‑Home

About the role

Join Prep Academy Tutors, a private in‑home and online tutoring company dedicated to helping high‑school students succeed. We are seeking enthusiastic educators to provide in‑person, in‑home math and science tutoring across Mississauga.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver personalized academic support aligned with the Ontario secondary curriculum for grades 9‑12.
• Strengthen students’ reading comprehension, literary analysis, essay writing, grammar, vocabulary, and critical‑thinking skills.
• Prepare students for classroom assessments, major assignments, exams and OSSLT where appropriate.
• Design customized lesson plans that build confidence and promote deep understanding.
• Provide remedial assistance for struggling learners and enrichment for advanced students.
• Maintain regular communication with parents and guardians about progress and goals.

Required profile

• Current, valid registration with the Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) or equivalent certification.
• Certified teacher in Canada or the United States, or a candidate actively pursuing certification.
• Enrollment in a Bachelor of Education program or experience as a lecturer/course instructor at an accredited college or university.
• Experience tutoring or teaching high‑school math and science (biology, chemistry, physics) and familiarity with the Ontario curriculum.
