High-Net-Worth Property Claims Adjuster (Aviva Ovation)

About the role

Aviva Canada's Ovation program provides specialized insurance for clients with high-value homes, vehicles, collections and other significant assets. The company is looking for an experienced High-Net-Worth Property Claims Adjuster to handle claims with expert attention, personalized service and a strong focus on client care. The role is hybrid.

Key responsibilities

• Investigate and negotiate Ovation and RBC High Net Worth / RBC Private Insurance property claims according to Aviva's standard methods and procedures
• Analyze estimates, claim values, negotiate and settle claims, and issue payments to vendors, customers and experts
• Apply the Ovation personal policy coverage to losses and explain coverage and benefits to customers
• Document the cause of loss and quantum, review and approve vendor estimates for repairs or replacement, and coordinate field resources when needed
• Maintain relationships with internal and external partners, identify exposure and recovery opportunities during storms and disasters, and report suspected fraud or irregularities
• Keep data accurate in Aviva systems, stay compliant with regulations, and continuously improve customer outcomes

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of first-party claims handling experience in property claims
• Property technical work experience and a university degree or college diploma (equivalent)
• Adjusting licenses for Atlantic provinces and Quebec are assets; bilingualism is an asset
• Preferred: prior high-net-worth, VIP or specialty market claims experience, and a professional insurance qualification
