Heavy Equipment Operator

About the role

Professional Excavators & Construction Inc. is looking for skilled Heavy Equipment Operators to join our team on a variety of construction projects across Calgary and Alberta. You will operate and maintain a range of machinery to support earthworks, grading, and excavation while upholding safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, loaders, dozers, and grading machines to complete assigned construction tasks.
• Perform daily inspections and routine maintenance to ensure safe and efficient operation of equipment.
• Read and interpret plans, blueprints, and job specifications to execute work accurately.
• Collaborate with supervisors and crew members to maintain workflow and meet project deadlines.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures to maintain a secure work environment.
• Assist with equipment transport, site cleanup, and other duties as required.

Required profile

• Previous experience operating heavy construction equipment in a similar role.
• Valid Heavy Equipment Operator certifications or licenses.
• Strong knowledge of safety protocols and best practices for equipment operation.
• Ability to understand and follow construction plans and instructions.
• Physical fitness and ability to work in various outdoor conditions.
• Good communication skills and teamwork orientation.
• Flexibility to work overtime and travel to multiple job sites.
