About the role
Armdale Lawn Care Incorporated is seeking a reliable Heavy Equipment Operator to join its team in Halifax. The role involves operating and maintaining a range of heavy machinery used for lawn care and related tasks.
Key responsibilities
- Operate heavy equipment using ISO joystick and SAE control patterns.
- Conduct pre‑operational checks and complete onboard logs.
- Clean, lubricate, and refill equipment tanks.
- Secure special attachments and operate GPS navigation systems.
- Perform minor repairs and operate hydraulic pumping systems.
- Measure distance, volume, length, and weight as required.
- Prepare accident reports when necessary.
Required profile
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- 1 to less than 2 years of experience operating heavy equipment.
Required skills
- Heavy equipment operation.
- ISO joystick control proficiency.
- SAE control pattern knowledge.
- Equipment maintenance (cleaning, lubrication, refilling).
- GPS navigation operation.
- Hydraulic system operation.
