Heavy Equipment Operator – Construction

About the role

Hall Constructors is seeking a dedicated Heavy Equipment Operator to join its team in Langley. You will play a vital part in the construction and maintenance of infrastructure, operating a range of heavy machinery safely and efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Operate excavators, dozers, rollers, loaders, skidsteers, and rock trucks following safety procedures.
• Perform daily pre‑trip inspections, routine maintenance, and report any defects.
• Complete hazard assessments and implement controls each workday.
• Collaborate with ground personnel and other operators to ensure smooth task execution.
• Participate in toolbox meetings, site preparation, grading, excavation, and back‑filling activities.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience operating heavy equipment.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Commitment to safety and proactive hazard mitigation.

Required skills

• Excavator, dozer, roller, loader, skidsteer, and rock truck operation.
• GPS & Grade Control experience (asset).
• Ground Disturbance Level 2, rigging, and first aid (asset).
• Routine equipment maintenance and simple repairs.
• Reading project drawings, grading plans, and working around utilities.
