Guideway Superintendent

About the role

The Guideway Superintendent oversees all field‑level construction activities for the elevated guideway segment of a large infrastructure project. Reporting directly to the project manager, this role ensures work is performed to design, schedule, budget, and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise on‑site guideway construction, including foundations, substructure, superstructure, and precast segment erection.
• Maintain clear communication between field crews and the project manager, providing daily productivity data and progress updates.
• Coordinate supply chains, sub‑contractors, and material deliveries; track all site materials.
• Oversee safety inspections and enforce project health‑and‑safety policies.
• Manage interface points with other contractors and handle queries through the Interface Contract Document process.
• Maintain daily site records, diaries, and compliance with codes, specifications, and standards.

Required profile

• 5–7 years of construction management or supervision experience on large infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of bridge and structural construction, codes, and specifications.
• Experience with subway or light‑rail elevated guideway projects is preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or Construction Management (or equivalent experience).
