Guest Services Attendant – Summer Fair (July 2026)

About the role

The Guest Services Attendant will be the primary point of contact for visitors at Westerner Days, a large summer fair and expo in Central Alberta held from July 15‑19, 2026. Reporting to the Tickets Alberta Manager, you will help create a safe, fun, and informative environment for thousands of guests.

Key responsibilities

• Provide directions, event details, and general assistance to guests throughout the fair.
• Answer questions about schedules, attractions, amenities, and promote QR‑code information resources.
• Distribute brochures and manage lost‑and‑found procedures, including wristband assistance.
• Support the setup, cleanliness, and organization of the information booth.
• Engage proactively with guests during slower periods to maintain a positive atmosphere.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent (completed or in progress); post‑secondary education in Event Planning, Business Management or related field is an asset.
• Previous customer‑service experience preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure environment and handle multiple tasks.
• Availability to work all required shifts from July 14‑19, 2026, including days, evenings and extended hours.

• No specific technical skills are required; the role focuses on customer interaction and basic event‑support tasks.
