Grade 9 Math/Science Teacher (Full-time)

About the role

Rocky View Schools is seeking a full‑time Grade 9 Math/Science and Options teacher for Bow Valley High School, starting August 27, 2026. The successful candidate will join a supportive community focused on inclusive learning and student success.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver, and assess the Grade 9 Alberta Math and Science curriculum, including optional courses.
• Create engaging lesson plans that incorporate diverse learning strategies and technology.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and provide timely feedback.
• Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and support staff to foster a positive school environment.
• Supervise laboratory activities and ensure safety protocols are followed.
• Participate in professional development and school-wide initiatives.

Required profile

• Possession of, or eligibility for, an Alberta Teaching Certificate.
• Recent graduates may apply with a final practicum report in lieu of a reference letter.
• Professional reference from a recent supervisor (letter on letterhead, signed within the past 18 months) or an updated reference list.
• Ability to pass a Criminal Record and Vulnerable Sector Check within 30 days of start date.
