Grade 3 Homeroom Teacher

About the role

Inspired Education, a group of premium private schools, is looking for an experienced Grade 3 teacher in Mississauga. The role centres on delivering engaging lessons, supporting student progress and building a positive classroom environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver lessons that inspire and challenge all students, in line with the school's curriculum, policies and external assessment requirements, and individualise learning so each student makes outstanding progress.
• Assess students' in-class and at-home learning regularly, give targeted feedback and support them in reaching their potential.
• Create a classroom and school environment where students feel valued, supported and ready to take risks in their learning.
• Work with colleagues as an active member of the learning community, sharing best practice and developing professionally.
• Take part in the school's co-curricular programme, from leading clubs to whole-school initiatives.
• Maintain open, constructive communication with parents and build strong partnerships around each child's progress.

Required profile

• Genuine passion for education and the ability to engage and motivate young people.
• Proven track record of excellence in personal, academic and professional areas.
• Expertise in the subject and in assessing progress, giving feedback and supporting performance in external assessments.
• Experience in pastoral care and student wellbeing, with a focus on individual attention.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships with families.
• Commitment to continuous professional development.
• Strong organisational and administrative skills, able to plan, prioritise and work under pressure.
• PGCE, QTS or equivalent, with excellent academic credentials and, ideally, evidence of post-graduate study.
