About the role
Geotech Drilling, a member of the ConeTec Group, is seeking a Geotechnical Drill Assistant for the 2026 season. The role supports drilling operations across western Canada, working on site investigation platforms in a fast‑paced, field‑based environment.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and supply the driller with tooling and materials to keep operations running.
- Handle drill rods, casing, core tubes and core samples.
- Maintain inventory levels of supplies, tools, and equipment for the rig and support vehicles.
- Assist the driller, client, and other team members as needed.
- Perform regular lifts of 50‑90 lb items.
Required profile
- Valid Class 5 or Class 3 driver’s licence.
- 1–3 years experience in geotechnical or environmental drilling (preferred).
- Ability to work in remote locations and varied weather conditions for extended periods.
- Pass a pre‑employment drug and alcohol test.
Required skills
- Mechanical troubleshooting and repair of small equipment.
- Handling of drill rods, casing, core tubes and core samples.
- Experience operating drilling support equipment.
