General Merchandise Associate

About the role

Working as a General Merchandise Associate at Walmart Canada offers the chance to develop valuable retail skills in a fast‑paced environment. You will provide excellent customer service, keep the sales floor organized, and support stocking and sales activities across the general merchandise area.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver friendly, professional customer service by greeting shoppers, assisting with product selection and resolving concerns.
• Maintain a clean, organized sales floor through zoning, merchandising, and processing recovery merchandise.
• Stock shelves, execute modular displays, and perform down‑stocking while applying product protection.
• Provide front‑end coverage as needed and ensure continuous floor coverage with teammates.
• Follow safety, cleanliness and compliance procedures, completing safety sweeps and securing fixtures.

Required profile

• Age 16 years or older.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, bend, and lift inventory up to 50 lb.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
