General Manager – Goods Production, Utilities, Transportation & Construction

About the role

The General Manager will lead the organisation's goods production, utilities, transportation and construction activities. This senior position is responsible for aligning resources with strategic objectives and ensuring operational excellence across multiple divisions.

Key responsibilities

• Allocate material, human and financial resources to implement organisational policies and programmes.
• Authorize and organise the establishment of major departments and senior staff positions.
• Coordinate the work of regions, divisions or departments and set organisational objectives.
• Represent the organisation in negotiations and official functions.
• Select middle managers, directors or other executive staff and delegate authority.

Required profile

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree.
• 3 to less than 5 years of relevant experience.
• Ability to supervise more than 20 employees and conduct criminal record and driver’s licence checks.

Required skills

• Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Microsoft PowerPoint.
• Computerised monitoring and control systems.
