General Maintenance Technician – Production & Broadcast (On‑site)

About the role
The Technology & Infrastructure division of CBC/Radio-Canada is looking for a General Maintenance Technician to keep production and broadcasting systems running smoothly. This full‑time, on‑site position supports studio operations by handling a wide range of technical equipment and infrastructure.
Key responsibilities
- Perform function‑testing, configuration, installation, inspection, diagnosis, troubleshooting, repair and refurbishment of production and broadcast equipment.
- Coordinate and review the work of other technicians, providing guidance and technical advice.
- Run complex tests and make adjustments to improve performance of technical facilities.
- Design, modify and manufacture parts, tools and equipment using mechanics, machining, welding, hydraulics and pneumatics.
- Operate and maintain machining, welding, hydraulic and pneumatic machinery.
Required profile
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast‑paced studio environment.
- Strong problem‑solving skills to address intermittent or underlying technical issues.
- Fluency in French (reading, speaking, writing) as required by the organization.
