General Labourer – Short‑Term Facilities Project

About the role

ATCO Frontec is seeking a General Labourer to support a short‑term facilities project in Taber, Alberta. The role involves assisting with a mechanical upgrade at a seniors’ housing facility, including boiler and water‑heater replacements, from late June to the end of August.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare the site and perform general housekeeping and cleanup.
• Load, unload, and move materials, construction debris, piping, and equipment.
• Support tradespersons (mechanical, electrical, carpentry) with project tasks.
• Assist with installation work related to boiler, water‑heater, and control‑system upgrades.
• Operate basic tools and light equipment; perform painting, touch‑ups, and incidental service work.
• Follow all safety procedures and site regulations.
• Transport and dispose of materials, including driving to facilities as needed.

Required profile

• Minimum one year of experience in general trades; experience in electrical construction or maintenance is a strong asset.
• Valid Class 5 driver’s licence with a clean driver abstract.
• Good mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand tools.
• Strong communication, teamwork and reliability in a fast‑paced project environment.
