General Labourer - Cleanout Specialist

About the role

Join Wessuc as a Cleanout Specialist and work hands‑on with a vacuum truck team to keep wastewater facilities safe and operational. You’ll gain practical experience in a fast‑paced, outdoor environment while contributing to cleaner, greener communities.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Vacuum Truck Operator with set‑up of hoses, pumps and safety equipment.
• Clean confined spaces such as wastewater holding tanks, pump stations and processing tanks.
• Support the Supervisor by completing Confined Space Entry Permits, Daily Vehicle Inspection Reports and other paperwork.
• Drive company pickup trucks and safety trailers to job sites across Ontario, including overnight or out‑of‑town assignments.
• Maintain a safe, clean work environment and follow all safety protocols.
• Work extended shifts during peak season, participate in on‑call emergency response and adapt to night‑shift schedules.

Required profile

• Valid G or G2 driver’s licence with a good driving record.
• Ability to perform minor mechanical repairs.
• Experience or training in Working at Heights, Confined Space Entry and Rescue (preferred).
• Prior experience in the wastewater industry is an asset.
