General Farm Worker – Harvesting

About the role

Join Truly Green Farms as a General Farm Worker focused on harvesting. You will work on a mixed fruit and vegetable farm, handling produce from field to market while ensuring quality and safety standards are met.

Key responsibilities

• Divide fresh harvested produce into marketable and non‑marketable lots.
• Grade vegetables and fruits by size, shape, colour and volume to achieve premium pricing.
• Hand‑harvest, clean greenhouses and pack fruits and vegetables.
• Plant, cultivate, irrigate crops and manually remove suckers and water sprouts.
• Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment.
• Detect disease and health problems in crops, livestock and poultry.
• Examine product quality and readiness for market.

Required profile

• Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced, physically demanding environment.
• Capacity to handle heavy loads up to 23 kg and perform repetitive tasks under tight deadlines.
• Good manual dexterity, hand‑eye coordination and colour discrimination.
• Willingness to stand, bend, crouch, kneel and walk for extended periods.

Required skills

• Operate farm machinery and perform routine maintenance.
• Detect crop diseases and health issues in livestock and poultry.
