Full‑Time Trauma Physician – Level 3 Trauma Centre

About the role

The Fraser Health Authority is seeking a full‑time Trauma Physician to join the ARHCC Trauma Service within the Fraser Health Trauma Network. The physician will act as Trauma Team Lead/Consultant, providing 24/7 on‑call coverage on a rotating schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Lead trauma team activations and provide consultant expertise during emergencies.
• Serve as the most responsible physician (MRP) for admitted trauma patients.
• Participate in on‑site daytime coverage and home call with a maximum 30‑minute travel time to the hospital.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of emergency physicians, surgeons, intensivists, anesthesiologists and allied health professionals.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of trauma care protocols and education.

Required profile

• Board‑eligible or board‑certified physician in emergency medicine, surgery, critical care, anesthesiology or a related specialty.
• Experience in trauma care; fellowship in Trauma or Acute Care Surgery is an asset but not mandatory.
• Willingness to work collaboratively within a team of nine trauma physicians.
• Eligibility to practice in Canada; US‑trained physicians are accepted.
