About the role
We are looking for a dedicated Cook to join our team at YOKOZUNA Sushi Bar & Grill in Okotoks. This full‑time, permanent position involves preparing high‑quality meals in a fast‑paced restaurant environment.
Key responsibilities
- Determine portion sizes and associated food costs.
- Plan menus and estimate food requirements for service.
- Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes.
- Inspect kitchen and food‑service areas to ensure cleanliness and safety.
- Train staff on food preparation, cooking techniques, and safe handling.
- Order supplies and equipment as needed.
- Supervise kitchen staff and helpers.
- Maintain inventory records for food, supplies, and equipment.
- Clean kitchen and work areas regularly.
- Manage overall kitchen operations.
Required profile
- Secondary school graduation certificate.
- 1 to less than 2 years of cooking experience.
- Availability for shift or on‑call work and ability to start on the posted date.
- Willingness to work in a team‑oriented, fast‑paced kitchen environment.
