About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Cook to join MARU SUSHI in Chilliwack, BC. This permanent full‑time role offers a starting wage of $20 per hour and involves preparing and cooking a variety of meals for our customers, including those with specific food allergies or intolerances.

Key responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes according to menu specifications.
  • Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances, ensuring safe handling and proper labeling.
  • Inspect kitchens and food service areas regularly to maintain cleanliness and compliance with health standards.
  • Order supplies and equipment, maintain accurate inventory records of food, supplies and equipment.
  • Clean kitchen and work areas thoroughly at the end of each shift.

Required profile

  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 2 to less than 3 years of hands‑on cooking experience in a restaurant environment.
  • Eligibility for on‑the‑job training tailored to youth and participation in awareness training to foster a welcoming workplace.
