Frontend Engineer – JavaScript

About the role

We are looking for a Front‑End Engineer to join Stripe’s Web Presence and Platform team within the Expansion pod. You will help create engaging digital experiences that attract prospects and drive conversions, shaping the first impression of stripe.com for a global audience.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with designers, engineers and cross‑functional teams to build innovative web features.
• Develop high‑quality, responsive user interfaces that solve complex problems.
• Maintain and extend Stripe’s design system to ensure consistency and scalability.
• Implement interactive tools with state management, data fetching and performance optimisation.
• Contribute to A/B testing, synthetic monitoring and accessibility testing initiatives.

Required profile

• 2+ years of front‑end development experience at a product‑driven company.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Passion for building engineering solutions that enable growth.
• Understanding of design fundamentals such as typography, layout and balance.
• Ability to collaborate effectively across teams and technology stacks.

Required skills

• React (including interactions, animations and performance optimisation).
• JavaScript, HTML and CSS.
• State management and data‑fetching techniques.
• Design‑system implementation.
• A/B testing, synthetic monitoring or accessibility testing (optional).
