Front Store Manager – Full Time (Flexible Shifts)

About the role

The Front Store Manager leads the non‑pharmacy areas of a Shoppers Drug Mart location, overseeing cosmetics, health & beauty, and other front‑store departments. This full‑time, salaried position focuses on delivering excellent customer service, driving store profitability, and fostering a collaborative team environment.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain store standards to optimise the customer experience and support profitability.
• Manage labour scheduling and use the Workforce Management (WFM) system to maximise productivity.
• Ensure appropriate staffing levels and compliance with Human Resources standards.
• Hire, onboard (excluding pharmacy), and conduct performance reviews for front‑store staff.
• Coach and develop employees, promoting the company’s core values and culture.
• Analyse financial reports, identify trends, and take corrective actions to meet quarterly and annual targets.
• Set departmental goals, monitor progress, and implement efficiency‑improvement strategies.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of retail management experience.
• Strong planning, judgement, and decision‑making abilities.
• Experience with inventory management and expense control.
• Proven leadership and mentorship skills.
• Effective time‑management, prioritisation, and organisational capabilities.

Required skills

• Workforce Management (WFM) system proficiency.
• Financial reporting analysis.
