Freelance Copywriter for Sports & Entertainment Brand

About the role

We are seeking a freelance Copywriter to join a leading sports and entertainment brand. The role focuses on shaping the brand voice and creating compelling narratives that resonate with fans across multiple channels.

Key responsibilities

• Develop clear, engaging copy for social media, digital experiences, broadcast scripts, fan engagement pieces, experiential activations, and long‑form storytelling.
• Collaborate closely with an Art Director and cross‑functional teams to ensure visual and verbal elements are aligned.
• Translate audience insights, fan behavior, and brand strategy into authentic, emotionally‑driven language.
• Present scripts, messaging frameworks, and campaign narratives to internal teams and client stakeholders.
• Maintain consistency with the brand voice and uphold its personality, values, and emotional tone.

Required profile

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in a creative agency, in‑house, or similar writing role.
• Proven track record delivering integrated campaigns from brief to final delivery.
• Experience working with large‑scale or well‑known brands where consistency is critical.
• Strong understanding of social and digital content formats and platform behaviours.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.
• Passion for sports or genuine enthusiasm for the sector is a plus.
