Freelance Biology & Python Expert for AI Training

About the role

We are looking for a freelance Biology & Python expert to help design, implement, and validate computational biology problems for AI training projects. The role is project‑based, remote, and focused on creating realistic, data‑driven challenges that test and improve AI systems.

Key responsibilities

• Design original computational biology problems that mimic real research workflows.
• Create Python‑based tasks using libraries such as NumPy, SciPy, BioPython, and Pandas.
• Ensure problems are computationally intensive and cannot be solved manually within reasonable timeframes.
• Develop problem statements that require non‑trivial reasoning in bioinformatics, systems biology, or molecular modeling.
• Base challenges on real research questions or practical applications from biology practice.
• Verify solutions programmatically and provide clear documentation with correct answers.

Required profile

• Degree in Biology or a related field.
• At least 2 years of professional experience in research, applied biology, or teaching.
• Strong written English proficiency (C1 level or higher).

Required skills

• Python programming.
• NumPy, SciPy, Pandas, BioPython.
• Familiarity with MATLAB, R, C, SQL, or Stata (any can be equivalent).
• Experience with biological data analysis and bioinformatics tools.
