Food Services Support Person (Part‑Time)

About the role

The Food Services Support Person provides hands‑on assistance in preparing and serving fresh, high‑quality food across campus outlets. Working under direct supervision, you will help deliver a superior customer experience while adhering to strict food safety and recipe standards.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with food and beverage preparation, assembly, and service following established recipes.
• Set up merchandising displays and ensure food presentation meets visual standards.
• Respond to customer needs, apply the “making it right” protocol, and escalate unresolved issues.
• Cover breaks for teammates and provide functional direction to casual employees.
• Process transactions, load cards with funds, and count float under supervision.
• Perform general cleaning, sanitizing, and report equipment issues.
• Complete required Food Safety certification training.

Required profile

• Some experience in food service retail or a related environment is an asset.
• Valid G driver’s licence is a plus.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, customer‑oriented setting.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
• Calm, polite demeanor with the ability to multitask and show initiative.

• Hourly wage of $20.31 (CAD).
• 33‑week seasonal schedule (35 hours per week) from September to April.
