Food Services Aide – Casual

About the role

The Food Services Aide provides essential meal preparation and service for inpatients at Manitoulin Health Centre. Working on a casual basis, the aide ensures that patients receive three nutritious meals each shift while maintaining a clean and organized service area.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner to inpatients during each shift.
• Stock and replenish vending machines throughout the facility.
• Maintain cleanliness, safety, and organization of the food service department.
• Print patient diet sheets using Meditech and follow dietary guidelines.
• Assist with inventory control and waste management.

Required profile

• Partial secondary school education (Grade 10) or equivalent.
• Food Handling certificate.
• Basic computer experience.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Required skills

• Food Handling certificate.
• Knowledge of Meditech for printing patient diet sheets.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook.
• Familiarity with a Learning Management System (LMS).
