Food Service Supervisor

About the role

We are seeking a Food Service Supervisor to lead our restaurant team in Chapleau, ensuring high-quality food service and operational efficiency. This full‑time permanent position involves managing staff, supplies, and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Establish methods to meet work schedules.
• Requisition food and kitchen supplies.
• Supervise and coordinate activities of staff who prepare and portion food.
• Train staff in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures.
• Estimate ingredients and supplies required for meal preparation.
• Hire food service staff.
• Ensure food and service meet quality control standards.
• Prepare budget and cost estimates.
• Address customers' complaints or concerns.
• Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales and wastage.
• Prepare and submit reports.
• Prepare food order summaries for the chef.
• Supervise and check assembly of trays.
• Supervise and check delivery of food trolleys.
• Establish work schedules.

Required profile

• College or CEGEP diploma (1‑2 year program) in a related field.
• 1 to less than 2 years of relevant experience.
• Criminal record check required.
• Ability to work in a noisy, hot, fast‑paced restaurant environment.
• Strong client focus and interpersonal skills.
• Dependable, initiative‑taking team player.
