Food Runner / Busser

About the role

Ceci Bar & Biff's Bistro, part of Oliver & Bonacini, is looking for a Food Runner/Busser to join its front-of-house team. Reporting to the Front of House Management, the Server Assistant supports the guest experience by keeping the dining area clean and organized and helping Servers deliver smooth service. The position is full-time.

Key responsibilities

• Answer questions about food, beverages, wine and other restaurant services when needed.
• Assist with food running so that plates go to the right guests.
• Keep the section clean and free of clutter, and communicate with Servers and Hosts to maximize seating.
• Pre-portion condiments and keep fridges stocked with milk, cream, butter and similar items.
• Monitor food quality and presentation, and follow all food safety standards.
• Empty garbage, change linen bags and dispose of waste and recycling.
• Pass on guest comments to the Servers and perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Smart Serve certification (required).
• Flexibility for evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Legally eligible to work in Canada.

• Attention to detail and cleanliness standards.
• Ability to stay calm and organized in a fast-paced environment.
• Time management, clear oral communication and solid knowledge of food and beverage offerings.
