Flow of Goods Coordinator

About the role

JYSK Canada is looking for a Flow of Goods Coordinator to join its buying team on a permanent, full-time basis. The role sits in the home office in Coquitlam, BC, and covers logistics coordination, freight documentation, order management and product category pricing and promotion.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate inventory transactions and update systems
• Assist with data entry of orders, shipments and transfers, and update tracking tools to monitor KPIs
• Prepare distribution load-out reports, shipping documentation and documents for overseas imports
• Follow up on outstanding orders with shipping, dispatch and buying teams, and coordinate bookings with freight forwarders
• Handle ocean import/export freight documents, verify OBL and payment requirements before shipment release, and chase documents when needed
• Track and report extra costs such as demurrage, detention and exam fees, and reconcile freight invoices
• Respond to freight inquiries and resolve supplier and shipping claims
• Track duty-free documents for countries with free trade agreements
• Analyze sales forecasts by store for the upcoming season and manage availability within assigned product groups
• Run orders through the system for warehouse and store replenishment, identify overstock and support the Buyer with stock checks and flyer planning

Required profile

• Category buying, ordering and forecasting experience
• Detail-oriented, organized and resourceful, able to handle multiple projects with minimal supervision
• Strong problem-solving, organizational, verbal and written communication and presentation skills
• Adaptable to changing priorities and excellent teamwork and project coordination skills

Required skills

• Advanced Excel skills and database knowledge
• Ability to create reports and analyze statistics using VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables and formulas
