Floral Merchandiser (Part‑Time, Independent Contractor) – Thunder Bay

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated and organized Floral Merchandiser to work as an independent contractor at a retail location in Thunder Bay. The role involves visiting assigned stores two to three times a week to maintain attractive floral displays, ensure they are stocked, priced correctly, and keep the plants healthy.

Key responsibilities

• Visit the assigned store(s) two times per week to maintain and refresh floral displays.
• Organize and condense floral displays to keep them neat, fresh, and attractive.
• Water and care for flowers and plants according to their specific needs.
• Keep the display area tidy, dispose of trash, and maintain a clean environment.
• Ensure floral products are correctly priced with clear labels.
• Submit detailed call reports after each visit documenting display condition, inventory, and actions taken.

Required profile

• Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
• Physical ability to lift and handle floral products and materials.
• Effective communication and time‑management skills.
• Reliable transportation to visit multiple store locations.
• Plant‑care knowledge is a plus but not required.
