Fixed Plant Maintenance Planner (Temporary)

About the role

Glencore Sudbury Integrated Nickel Operations is looking for a Fixed Plant Maintenance Planner to join its team in Falconbridge, Greater Sudbury, Ontario. This is a full-time, temporary unionized position filling an existing vacancy, paid $1820.28 per week plus applicable bonuses. The work location is not accessible by public transportation.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and schedule the execution of maintenance work for multiple skilled trade groups at one specific site
• Plan and schedule work for large projects and major shutdowns
• Generate and maintain department information

Required profile

• Minimum college graduate with a technical degree, or a qualified tradesperson performing maintenance work in an industrial facility or the equivalent
• Minimum five years of experience as a qualified tradesperson or the equivalent
• Personal commitment to health, safety, training and continuous improvement

Required skills

• Working familiarity with personal computers, the Microsoft suite, Excel, CatBase and computerized maintenance system equipment and tools
• High communication skills
• Ability to work independently within provided guidelines, with initiative and good time management
• Strong leadership and decision-making abilities to manage contractors and tradespersons
