About the role
We are looking for a skilled Finish Carpenter to join our construction team in Surrey. You will work on a variety of sites, delivering high‑quality finish carpentry work while adhering to building codes and project timelines.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare layouts and drawings that comply with building codes using measuring tools.
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join wood, wood substitutes and lightweight steel.
- Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware.
- Prepare tenders and quotations for projects.
- Schedule and coordinate work on multiple construction sites.
- Survey building locations and levels to ensure accurate installation.
- Instruct apprentices and oversee their work.
- Maintain, repair and renovate residential and commercial wooden structures.
Required profile
- Secondary school graduation or equivalent experience.
- 1–2 years of finish carpentry experience.
- Ability to work in noisy, dusty construction environments.
- Physically demanding work with tight deadlines, including evenings, weekends and overtime as needed.
