Financial Reporting Analyst

About the role

The Financial Reporting Analyst provides critical financial insight to corporate headquarters, senior management, and field stakeholders. You will own internal and external reporting, balance‑sheet and P&L analysis, and support initiatives that improve finance processes and tools.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare external reporting of P&L, balance sheet, and supporting schedules.
• Compile and analyze data for the monthly financial close.
• Direct and ensure timely completion of balance‑sheet account reconciliations.
• Prepare annual tax packages and respond to CRA audit queries.
• Maintain compliance with SOX requirements.
• Execute ad‑hoc projects and process‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree required; Accounting or Finance preferred.
• CPA designation or active pursuit of CPA required.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge.
• Proficiency in Excel.
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA and Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) is a plus.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently on multiple projects.
• Talent for identifying and driving process improvements.
