Financial Planning Associate

About the role

As a Financial Planning Associate you will provide proactive sales support and value‑based client contact for a team of Financial Planners at RBC. You will help the team achieve its sales objectives while delivering a differentiated client experience across everyday banking, investments and credit solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Assist Financial Planners before and after client interactions, preparing meeting materials and supporting the fulfilment of credit, investment and banking solutions.
• Identify client needs, make referrals, and expand profitable relationships in line with the team’s annual sales plan.
• Act as a Digital Ambassador, leveraging digital tools to educate clients and keep current on technology trends.
• Track progress against sales targets and ensure compliance with all policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with internal partners to address client goals and strengthen relationships.

Required profile

• Mutual Funds accreditation (e.g., Investment Funds in Canada or Canadian Securities Course).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating strong collaboration.
• Flexibility, eagerness to learn, high personal ethics and a results‑driven mindset.
• Fluency in English; Mandarin or Cantonese is an asset.
• Experience serving both personal and business clients is a plus.
