Financial Controller

About the role

Our client, a large publicly‑traded global manufacturing organization, is seeking a hands‑on Financial Controller to join the leadership team in Burlington, ON. This highly visible, 100% onsite role partners closely with operations and senior leadership to drive performance, continuous improvement, and ERP optimization.

Key responsibilities

• Lead month‑end close and consolidation across multiple entities, preparing financial statements, KPIs and variance analysis.
• Partner with operational leaders on budgeting, forecasting, costing, pricing and capital investment decisions.
• Oversee cash management, accounts payable and cash‑flow forecasting while maintaining strong internal controls.
• Develop and mentor the accounting team, fostering a collaborative onsite culture and succession planning.
• Strengthen internal controls, governance frameworks and implement process efficiency improvements.
• Own standard costing, cost rolls, variance analysis and support JD Edwards ERP enhancements.

Required profile

• CPA designation.
• 7–10+ years of progressive finance experience in a publicly‑traded or large private manufacturing company with revenues over $200 M.
• Deep expertise in standard costing and manufacturing finance.
• Proven leadership and team‑management experience with strong executive presence.
• Excellent communication, analytical and business‑partnering abilities.
