Financial Controller

About the role

We are a growing construction and industrial services company looking for a hands‑on Financial Controller to lead our finance function. The role is ideal for a practical, business‑oriented finance professional who thrives in entrepreneurial environments and wants to become a true partner to ownership and operations leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Lead day‑to‑day financial operations and reporting.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, and cash‑flow planning.
• Oversee banking relationships, financing, and lender reporting.
• Support operations with job costing, profitability analysis, and financial insights.
• Improve financial processes, controls, and reporting visibility.
• Oversee payroll, benefits, and administrative finance functions.
• Partner closely with ownership on strategic and operational decision‑making.

Required profile

• Controller or Finance Manager‑level experience.
• Background in privately owned businesses (preferably $10M–$100M revenue range).
• Strong cash‑flow management and operational finance experience.
• Experience in construction, industrial services, contracting, rental, or other project‑based industries is a strong asset.
• Strong communicator able to work with ownership, operations, field teams, banks, and suppliers.
• CPA preferred but not required.
